I just saw Derek Jeter in a commerical on NESN, hawking Zip N Hit Pro.
I’m pretty sure this is a sign of the apocalypse.
NESN is also currently showing the top ten Johnny Damon moments and they showed when he and Damian Jackson smashed heads in 2003. Lost in that scary moment is that while Jackson and Damon were on the ground, Nomar Garciaparra had the presence of mind to pick the ball up from between them and get it back in play. Total heads up move that saved a run or two. Nice job, Nomie.
Oh good God they’re interviewing Johnny right now. (Oh wait, he’s starting tonight…that’s good, at least his arm hasn’t fallen off…he says he’ll be back in the field tomorrow.)
He has a bit of a five o’clock shadow going on…that isn’t going to last.
He just said the Red Sox are moving in a "good direction" and he "respects that".
Someone must have given him a talking to.
Okay, back to Jeter…does the dude need money? Some cheesy, low-budget ZIP N HIT commercial? What the heck is THAT?
Next thing you know Bernie Williams will be doing commercials for The Clapper.
(Final note about pre-game…Mike Timlin and Terry Francona are talking during the National Anthem and NESN decided to show it….I love cable television)
Okay…more on the game. Manny forgot his jersey and is wearing number 95.
I can’t make this stuff up.
And in an interview today, Bronson says he’ll probably hang out with Kevin Youkilis’ parents since there’s nothing else to do in Cincinnati. I know people who know Youk’s parents and they’re good folks…hope they take care of Bronson. (Yes, folks, another Bronson reference…get used to them as the Cincinnati Reds just became my new favorite national league team.)
