In an effort to absolutely confuse me, the Red Sox are playing the Pirates today at 1:05pm. You can watch it live on MLB.tv or listen to it live on Game Day Audio. Or you can wait until 6pm and watch it on NESN.
Tape delayed Spring Training games. Okay. We’ll go with that.
I’ll never understand NESN. They promise us fabulous Spring Training coverage, start off strong and fizzle out quickly. When there are games we want to watch, NESN is nowhere to be found in Ft Myers. Unless it is a day when there is a hockey game on. Then they schedule to broadcast the game…on tape delay. Thanks a heap, NESN.
Kyle starts today, so I’m pretty excited for the game. Unfortunately, due to other obligations, the tape-delay thing is actually going to work in my favor today – so here’s hoping I come home to see Kyle pitching fabulously.
I also wouldn’t be offended if someone thought to text me with the occasional Kyle update. 🙂
Congratulations to the Matsuzakas on the birth of their son! This should put the nervous nellies at ease. (The ones worried about the Japan games. Truthfully, I know they’re ‘real’ games, but I still wouldn’t care if half the starters stayed home. Let them rest, is my motto.)
And I know I promised no Yankees in this post, but I need to just say this: Calling Jonathan Papelbon a ‘mouse’ is like calling Alex Rodriguez a good sport. It just makes no sense. I love to see this head barely above water stuff. Keep it up, Hank. You’re always good for a laugh.
Sox leave for Japan on Wednesday – we’re that much closer to real baseball folks!
