Jon Lester “chose not to” speak to the media last night after the game.
If he’s going to be this cranky THIS early in the season, he’s in for a long year.
I don’t call him “Crabcakes” for nothing.
That’s disappointing to me. And a little surprising. The team won the game – at the very least all he would have had to put up with were questions about how he was feeling and if the cold was affecting him.
I’m certainly not defending the media – hell I’d NEVER want to talk to most of them regardless of how well I pitched – but I think he chose an odd time to blow them off. I hope everything is all right.
Wake goes up against Paul Byrd tonight – and Jed Lowrie makes his Major League debut. Good watchings, folks! 🙂
(And a quick note on Kyle Snyder. In my happiness about his situation – or just my sleep deprivation – I didn’t realize he would be a starter in Pawtucket – hot damn! Good for you Kyle!)
