My Drunken Ramblings

Okay, “Drunken” may be a bit of an over-statement, but I’m feeling pretty good. 😉

Had a mini-version of an Irish wake tonight with my parents, my grandfather, my sister and my other uncle who was, essentially, raised like one of my brothers (the other being the uncle who passed away last weekend). Lots of wine flowed along with many stories and we, generally, had a nice time remembering my uncle in better times.

Because of this I missed the majority of the Sox game (as well as the beauty that was a 3 game sweep of the Yanks AT Yankee Stadium!). No worries. Sox won the series, which is all I ever want anyway. PawSox won as well and Kyle will be starting tomorrow night. By game time, all should be settled around here, with the funeral being over mid-afternoon, so I’ll probably get to watch the BoSox and listen to the PawSox uninterrupted.

It’s been a week where I was able to avoid what has really been going on in my life thanks to work and other diversions. Tomorrow I don’t get that luxury. I probably won’t be around to post until much later in the day, so here’s wishing you all a great Friday!
