I get mixed emotions after a night like last. On the one hand, everyone (Rays, Sox, Yanks) lost, so the Sox didn’t lose any ground. On the other hand, everyone ELSE lost, so the Sox didn’t GAIN any ground. Which slightly annoys me. Oh well. Today’s another day…and a game that I’ll be at! Feels like forever since I’ve been to Fenway. Tonight’s as good a night as any to go. Here’s hoping Clay doesn’t disappoint.
After rumors being rampant that he was on his way out, now the word is that the Reds have taken Bronson Arroyo off the trading block (mostly because of his salary – it seems that’s scaring off potential trade partners). That kind of bums me out. The idea of Bronson on the Yankees was high comedy to me. (Embedded Red Sox player!)
Still no word on Kyle Snyder’s progress. I hope wherever he is he’s getting drunk and having a hell of a time. 🙂
Weirdest piece of spam I’ve received in a while had a subject line of “Jeff Pearlman added you as a friend on Facebook”. Especially given it went to an address I don’t use for Facebook (although it is the address I used when we had our email interactions). Hmmm.
Shout out to my guy Kevin Millar for, yet again, being a Yankee killer. Good times, good times.
Short work day and long night for me. Not complaining at all, it’ll be good to cut loose tonight. Hopefully, the Sox will cooperate and kick some Angel ass for us!
