So now it begins

I spent quite a bit of time on the last post…so I missed the ‘news’ about Coco Crisp and Alex Gonzalez as it came out (thanks to evilsnare for alerting me – I’m never going to get to sleep tonight at this rate!).  Nothing is "official" yet, but the Boston Herald is guessing that the opening day lineup will probably look like this:

Crisp, cf; Mark Loretta, 2b; David Ortiz, dh; Manny Ramirez, lf; Jason Varitek, c; Trot Nixon, rf; Mike Lowell, 3b; Kevin Youkilis, 1b; Gonzalez, ss.

I’m  hoping this is how it works out.  But I’ve learned to not take anything for granted until opening day.
