I’m not a survivor

Campfire I’m a big baby.  A little over five hours with no heat, electricity or stove yesterday and I was going crazy.  I am not fit to live out of civilization.  I’m not too proud to admit it.

Luckily, I had power for the Oscars (I’m a big fan of the Academy Awards.  Most awards shows really.  At least, the ones that revolve around movies).  Sadly,  my boy Jake went home empty-handed, but I was really happy for George Clooney.  I mean COME ON…from "The Facts of Life" to an Academy Aw ard?  Good for him!

In baseball news, Boomer now wants to stay.  Huzzah.  Heck, if he’s healthy, which I doubt, that’s great news.  To me, though, it just sounds like he’s finally realized no one else wants him.   (No picture of Boomer today.  He annoys me too much right now.  Instead, enjoy a picture of Jake Gyllenhaal Clooneyfactsfrom last night…I know I will!)

During Saturday’s meeting, Wells said, Epstein told him "there are a lot of teams out there that are not interested because of the fact that there are a lot of young guys they want to look at."

OscarnightJeez, David, welcome to the real world.  Hopefully, his being such a pain in the butt doesn’t help dictate Clement or Arroyo getting traded.

And Pokey Reese is out of a job.  I sense he won’t care much since he hasn’t contacted the team…but I find the entire thing quite sad.  Pokey has had a tough life and my prayers are with him.

Starting today early, leaving for work soon.  Man, it’ll be a long day.  🙂  Have a great one, everybody!
