Well-deserved awards will be going to Jonathan Papelbon at the Boston Baseball Writers Association of America awards dinner in January. Jonathan has been named Red Sox Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Fireman of the Year!
According to the article, Papelbon is the first first full-time reliever to win Pitcher of the Year since Bob Stanley in 1983 and the first to win Rookie of the Year since Dick Radatz in 1962. This is a big deal for a truly deserving pitcher.
Congratulations, Jonathan.
Red Sox Hall of Fame inductions tonight. "The Steal" is being honored so Dave Roberts will be in attendance.
And I don’t usually mention politics here, but since it has taken up a good chunk of my time lately, I want to say how happy I am that we’ve finally taken our country (and my state) back.
It’s a good week in Red Sox Nation.
