Four more home runs last night (Manny, Papi, Lugo and Lowell) and Pedroia with a couple more hits! Daisuke doesn’t have his ‘bad’ inning. As a matter of fact, he has 7 pretty damn GOOD innings.
Papi had four hits, Lowell had three and Daisuke struck out eight. Pitching and hitting, yet again. And we didn’t even have our regular first baseman in there. 🙂
Tonight Wake goes up against Halladay. Wake’s record is a deceptive 3-3 with a not-so deceptive 2.11 ERA. Halladay’s record is 4-1 with a 3.59 ERA. If JP Ricciardi doesn’t get his wish, the dome will be closed (Let’s all do a rain dance for Toronto so they’ll HAVE to close it!) and Wakefield will be ON. If the dome is opened during the game, well the weather is still supposed to be a little damp and grey, so I say – bring them on!
(Side note to the hitters tonight. It’s spelled r-u-n-s-u-p-p-or-t and it isn’t just for every pitcher except Wake.)
Our Boston Red Sox are 22-10. The best record in the league. Enjoy it, Nation. We deserve it. 🙂
