The way to do it!

Some dinklemeyer was on EEI last night, as we were leaving the game, telling Red Sox fans not to get all excited because the bench guys weren’t going to be performing on ‘this level’ all season long.

Well, duh.  The entire reason behind why last night’s win was so amazing is that, when we needed them to, pretty much everyone came through.

Curt wasn’t all that sharp (what did he give up, 7 doubles?) but after giving up 2 runs, he settled down and kept the team in the game.  Donnelly, Lopez and Okajima did THEIR jobs and with some help from Eric Hinske….the Sox got the job done and won BOTH games of the double-header.

Julian Tavarez pitched the first game and pitched himself a gem.  7 innings, 4 hits, 1 run.  You can’t possibly ask for MORE than that.  Especially from your number5 guy.  And if you do, you’re greedy.  🙂

If the rain lets up, I’m at tonight’s game too. With Beckett on the DL (hey, now’s as good a time as any to give him time to let that hand heal), we’re putting Hansack out there.  The last time I saw Hansack pitch in person on a rainy night, he threw a five-inning no-hitter.  I’m hoping for a little more of that tonight!
