Prattling on

I have photos to many games that I haven’t uploaded yet.  I started editing them to upload during the game.  Now that it’s over, I’m looking at these pictures and just shaking my head.

I’m the least reactionary fan you’ll ever meet.  Honestly.  Losses these days (post-2004) pretty much roll off my back.  But after Friday’s comeback and Gagne’s choking then and today’s LOB parade and Gagne choking again, there is no doubt in my mind that, regardless of the four game lead in the division and having the best record in MLB, this team has issues.  In my mind, the biggest is Eric Gagne.   I don’t care what they’re paying him and I don’t care what he was brought on to do.  He’s a big bag of suck wrapped in a layer of shit.  And if Tito keeps bringing him out, he gets anything he deserves when this team loses.

I have to turn down the cranky for JD Drew.  While the rest of the team is hell-bent on mediocrity, Drew has stepped it up and is hitting the way folks assumed he would from day one.

Unfortunately, this weekend was supposed to be the start of an easy schedule for the Sox.  So I’m interested in the mindset of the team.  Did they think they could just mail it in?  Did Gagne think he was just better than the Orioles hitters so he didn’t really think to challenge them?  Like I said, I’m disgusted.  I have 3 games to go to this week and I’m  not looking forward to one of them.  I know me, and I know I’ll snap out of this tomorrow, but it still won’t give me any confidence in the team this week until they prove to me they’re actually going to show up to play, even against the ‘lesser’ teams

I’m certainly not ‘scared’ and I’m not conceding anything.  It just irritates me to watch the Sox piss away games.  I hope it irritates them too, but I’m not holding my breath.  These guys don’t seem to care.  If they did, this wouldn’t have happened.

I hope they prove me wrong this week, but I’m not convinced that’ll happen.

I’m usually the chick giving out the positive vibes.  Well, today, I’m the one who needs them.  I’d love it if folks would leave me comments trying to help convince me that this team actually has what it takes to keep the division lead they have.
