WTF?

I’m fairly certain that, in all my years of being a Red Sox fan, I’ve never been this disgusted with the team and the manager.

I’m not rehashing the suckfest that was tonight’s game.  I’ll just say this, Terry Francona doesn’t deserve a contract extension and if Eric Gagne is on the playoff roster, I just might find a way to bulldoze the bullpen at Fenway while he’s in it.

Terry is, obviously, playing for the playoffs, not the division.  Good for him.  In his quest for just a playoff spot he’s blowing home field advantage and the opportunity to pick the playoff schedule he prefers.  

I haven’t, truly, been ‘sick’ over a loss since 2004.  I’m not there yet, but I’m pretty close.  This team is playing like they’re already in the playoffs and can just coast.  So if the Yankees overtake them in the division, they won’t care because it’s getting in the playoffs that matters.  See my previous paragraph fellas and get your heads out of your asses.

Tonight, I was embarrassed at the way this team played.  And, to reiterate, if I ever see Gagne on the mound in a Red Sox uniform again, it had better be in effigy and on fire.

Y’all know how much I hate to write a negative post.  There’s enough negative shit out there every day, folks don’t need to read it here too.  So, at some point, before the night is over, there will be another post above this one because I hate waking up to all the negative crap.

For now, this one stands.  Because, currently, this team is an embarrassment and they don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt that I’ll end up giving them tomorrow.
