Crunch time and the Sox came through.
Exactly the way you want to see a game unfold! Pitching was good, hitting was good, defense was amazing (thank you, Jacoby!)…the frosting on the cake is Joshua Patrick getting his 20th win. The only player in MLB with 20 wins and he was greeted, after the game, by two bottles of champagne (one from Curt Schilling). He so deserves any good things that come to him professionally this year. Cy Young is definitely something I want to see him win! He’s been a rock for us this year. I just love seeing him on the mound.
As a nice touch to end the evening, the Yankees mount a comeback in the ninth just to lose it in the 14th. Nice to see the Blue Jays playing the Yanks as hard as they played us. It’s about damn time!
Home runs from Tek, Lowell and Papi. This is what we need to see more of the next few games.
Special thanks going out to all my friends tonight for checking in on me. 🙂 I haven’t had a chance to get back to you all, but I really appreciate your all taking the time to check in!
Going back to my roots, so to speak, this one is for Joshua Patrick!
