I haven’t focussed much on the TYIB awards. The Sox won half of them, well, because Sox fans took the time to vote so much! So I wasn’t making a big deal out of it.
But this one is special.
Not only because the "play" won me four beers. 
But because it WAS voted by Red Sox fans. The same fans who wanted JD Drew tarred and feathered for the majority of the season.
And it gives me hope that those same fans will greet him with a very different attitude in 2008!
"Yeah, it was a great feeling," said Drew. "More than anything, I was just trying to hit a ball hard up the middle, get a pitch out over the plate that I could handle."
Congratulations JD! You definitely earned it!
