It’s a Good Thing I Don’t Travel Much

Jackie MacMullan has an interesting time-line of the events yesterday. She presents it without commentary – just giving us the facts as they happened.

It’s refreshing, really.

But me being me, this will drive me insane until we find out who it belongs to:

5:22 p.m. – A lone black suitcase, seemingly forgotten in the rush, sits outside the Red Sox clubhouse.

What if that was my suitcase and it had my laptop in it? I’m flying all the way to Japan and I don’t have my suitcase? I just voted to boycott the trip. I wasn’t going to play the last Spring Training game of the season and you forgot to load my suitcase on the bus? THIS is the thanks I get for being selfless??? I need a nap.

It that was Papelbon’s suitcase the rest of the team is in huge trouble for the flight. He’ll never shut up about it.

The guys have been traveling for 13.5 hours. I’ve been sleeping comfortably in my bed for the last six. I win this one. 🙂

(Sending PVs to the Red Sox Hen, who spent five hours in an emergency room with me Tuesday night and got a stomach flu of some kind for her troubles!)
