I’m wiped. Totally wasted from Friday and Saturday – in a wonderful way! I had such a great times being with friends and getting to enjoy Ted’s first game at Fenway. (Yesterday before the game we have around 25 people at the Cask. It was a great time!)
Two blurbs on music that I noted during the second game:
- When they showed highlights of Mo Vaughn on the scoreboard, they played Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell”. I didn’t get it. Until I heard the “More! More! More!”. Mo. Mo. Mo. Someone in A/V has a sense of humor.
- During a Kevin Cash visit to Tim Wakefield, they played “Listen to the Band” by the Monkees. (And it was at this moment that I realized I don’t have John’s/Horsham’s cell phone because immediately I wanted to text him the info!)
Before the first game, it was a hug-fest on the field at Fenway. Gabe Kapler and, yes, Eric Gagne got many warm greetings from their former teammates and coaches. Mike Timlin seemed to be in a particularly good mood. Laughing, hugging and, at one point, even dancing. It all worked for him, since he got his first save of the season in the second game. Yay MIKE!
A few photos I took yesterday – because I have to go get read for a six year-old’s dance recital or I’d write more! Sox at 1:37pm – here’s hoping Joshua Patrick will kick butt!
