Sox win a one-run game and pick up an entire game in the standings. Nicely done fellas.
Daisuke was amazing and truly deserved the win. The bats still need a little ass-kicking, but things are looking up. 🙂
Goodbye to Justin Masterson (for a little while) and hello to Jeff Bailey! Masterson took his “demotion” as well as you would expect him to:
“I’m excited,” said Masterson, who will make his first relief appearance for Pawtucket tomorrow, and is scheduled to pitch again Friday and Sunday. “This is nice. When I got here I kind of knew with the great starting staff we had that when they get healthy they’re going to do their job. They want me to go down and get some relief work down there and that’s what I’m gonna do.”
Can’t wait to see this kid back up here! We get Clay on Friday, which should be interesting.
I had a ticket to last night’s game that I ended up not using (a decision I don’t regret for one moment). I think I won’t be back in Fenway now until August (but in July there will be two trips to Lowell and one to Pawtucket – so I’m covered for live baseball!)
Crabcakes pitches tonight and Joshua Patrick pitches tomorrow afternoon. Here’s hoping Lester continues to surprise me.
Don’t forget to vote for the final player to be sent to the All Star Game! I’ve been voting for Brian Roberts and David Wright but, truly, anyone but Giambi works for me!
