“The Red Sox don’t deserve a player like me,” Ramirez said. “During my years here I’ve seen how they [the Red Sox] have mistreated other great players when they didn’t want them to try to turn the fans against them. The Red Sox did the same with guys like Nomar Garciaparra and Pedro Martinez, and now they do the same with me. Their goal is to paint me as the bad guy,” Ramirez added. “I love Boston fans, but the Red Sox don’t deserve me. I’m not talking about money. Mental peace has no price and I don’t have peace here.”
Nomar and Pedro are folk heroes ’round these parts, Manny.  Regardless of what you think the front office tried to do.
I’m not a fan of booing or of trash talking, but it has gotten to the point where I’ve finally had enough. I’ll always have a special spot in my heart for Manny. For what he did for this team since he’s been here. But I was always one who defended “Manny being Manny” and the things he’s had to say this week have just made me want to not even focus on the team because I’m tired of hearing it all. STFU and play, or go play somewhere else.
