Let the games begin! (Photo by Jim Davis of the Boston Globe)
This morning, the Boston Herald and the Boston Globe both have the same story as their prominent Red Sox story of the day: Who will be playing centerfield for the Red Sox?
Amalie Benjamin calls it " a bona fide competition ‘, which is interesting since Steve Buckley says that there is "no doubt" Ellsbury is the centerfielder.
Thanks for clearing that up, folks.
Just about all the position players are already in camp. Waiting on a few more including, of course, Manny Ramirez. (The other two players who haven’t reported yet are Coco Crisp and Julio Lugo.) Today, again, the mediots will probably start their Manny countdown since it’s the day position players are supposed to report.
Ah, the enthralling story lines of the pre-season. All I know is, almost all the boys are in the house, which means baseball will be played soon!
