(Edited to fix all the errors, hopefully! That’s what happens when I post while 0ver-tired!)

What a fabulous day! Out of the house at 7, back at 7 and in between was one terrific game! A great way to spend the day.
I have a sunburn on my nose (ah, THAT’S attractive!) but that’s the only bad thing I can say about the day.
SIX Pawtucket homeruns. Six. It was ridiculous. (But quite entertaining!) Charlie Zink was, once again, ON. I enjoy watching him pitch. He has a compelling story and I really hope he does well.
So, thanks to Charlie and a ton of offense, the PawSox crushed the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees. Jeff Karstens started for the Yankees. (Last time KellyO and I saw Karstens in person, Julio Lugo was breaking his leg and we ended the night meeting Kyle Snyder!) No broken leg this time, but he probably wishes he had just stayed in bed. 11-5 was the final score. Well done, fellas!

We’re a little less than an hour an a half away from the Sox/Mariners game. I’m pretty sure I’m not going to make it. I’m a city gal who spends most of her time indoors…being out in the fresh air and sun for roughly 12 hours really has taken its toll. 🙂 I’m currently watching the Rays/Rangers game (Woo-hoo! Three run homer for Eric Hinkse!) but I’m fading fast. I have a week’s worth of work to cram into three days since I’m leaving for Baltimore Friday morning. So it’s going to get a little tougher before the weekend makes it easier!
Because of my schedule, I won’t be able to make it down to Pawtucket to see Kyle start tomorrow. I’m a little bummed about that, but there was a Kyle sighting (or two) today which was nice. He signed for everyone, again, (I didn’t go for an autograph…I was just taking in the beautiful day, although I did get some photos.) I get a kick out of watching the kids ask players for autographs. Had a group of, relatively, polite ones today, which seems to be a rarity. I heard lots of pleases and thanks yous. It was a nice change from the usual rudeness I often hear at the games.
After the game, there was a “Fan Fest”. Kelly and I went to check it out and ended up waiting in line to get autographs from some of the players. The line was long, it was getting late and we decided it was better to try and get a train that would get us home at a decent hour – so we left. As we were walking through the parking lot, we heard someone ask an attendant who “that player” was. When I looked to where he was pointing, I saw a tall, blond man at his vehicle, signing an autograph. The attendant told the guy it was “Brandon Moss” so I looked away and saw Brandon heading toward his car. When I looked back at the other man, I asked Kelly if it was Kyle. As he got into his vehicle, we decided it must have been. (Bear with me. I had shades on, the sun was bright and in my eyes…) I had snapped a pic with my camera, just to see who it was (he was a ways away) and the picture came out crappy and blurry, but it was Kyle. He drove past us as we walked out to grab a cab and that was that.
I then realized that I had done what I give other people crap for doing and I felt terrible about it. Often, I use my camera like binoculars. With the zoom it has, it’s easier to see something you want to see. So I picked it up with that intent and then snapped a picture. Broke my own rule about not bothering the players outside the park. (Sure, technically I didn’t ‘bother” him. Hell, he probably didn’t even realize we were there…but STILL I felt terrible about taking a picture of him during his ‘personal’ time. So it’s just as well that it didn’t really come out. Sorry about that, Kyle.)
The Yankees lost today and the Rays are winning. One out of two isn’t bad! Bartolo Colon is on the mound again for the Sox tonight. I really DO want to see this game. SO I’m going to try my best to get it in. My hopes, though, they aren’t high. (For staying up, that is. I have faith the team will kick it into gear tonight!)
