Our cups runneth over with happiness

Javier Lopez getting his celebrating on! Photo by Kelly O'Connor - I'm ridiculously happy for him.

So anyone who thinks the Red Sox celebrated too much on Monday night can bite me.  Seriously, just take a tremendous bite because only 8 teams get into the playoffs and getting into the group of four is a big friggin’ deal.

Ever since Saturday I’ve been flying pretty high…even being at the debacle of a game on Sunday hasn’t shot me down.  So it’s affecting my ability to sit down and focus on writing.  Which is lousy timing considering I’m in the middle of that EEI contest.  😆

No word yet on the voting but I’ll let you all know as soon as that comes through.

Three nights with no Sox baseball…I should be sleeping at 1am, but I’m wide awake.  Thank goodness for Friday and Saturday games in Florida.

Oh and congratulations to the Rays.  Well-played and very impressive.  But see, I’m impressed by the Red Sox as well and don’t believe for a minute that the Rays will stomp all over them.  I expect a very competitive and tight fight.  Lots of good games and probably a couple of extra-inning games.  I also expect wins from the Sox.  I’m greedy that way.

Javy as today’s photo.  I love happy, wet, Javier Lopez.  It strikes me that this game is such a crap shoot and some players end up in places they’d never expect.  So I’m very happy for Javy.  And a little sad for Kyle.  Yeah, Kyle’s still on my mind, even on days filled with much baseball-related happiness (as a matter of fact, BECAUSE of the baseball-related happiness).

Appreciate the moment, folks.  Not everyone gets to enjoy this stuff.

(Incidentally, if you want to enjoy it more, Kelly O’Connor has her fabulous photos from the celebration up at her place!)
