…they’re on the freaking pitching mound. Hats off to the Angels (I’m tempted to make one of those jokes poking fun at the fourteen word official name of the team, but that is so overdone). Their pitching really came through tonight when they needed to. Shut the Sox down. No shame in that. You know what they say about good pitching…yada yada yada.
I’m amazed at the freak-out going on over at the Red Sox Fan Forum tonight. So the Sox lost a game. To the Angels who, by the way, don’t exactly stink. One game out of three. On a night when the Tampa Bay Devil Rays slammed the Yanks. Pardon me if I don’t get upset. The Red Sox are still in first place by a nice four game lead. Regardless of what happens this weekend, on Monday morning the Red Sox will still be in first place. I’m hoping for a least two out of three…but a sweep would be be nice too.
Matt Clement actually looked pretty good tonight. That’s encouraging. The rotation is coming around. We get Wade Miller healthy and Curt Schilling back on track, and I’m a happy chickie.
(Timlin got his seventh save last night and Keith Foulke looked good two outings in a row….dare I get excited about our pitching?)
